In 2006, with support from Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Brenda began to pursue an education in Visual Art as a means of expanding and deepening her existing artistic practice in clay. As part of her Bachelor of fine arts she studied in Jingdehzen, China, the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia, Red Deer College, Red Deer, Alberta and the Alberta College of Art and Design, Calgary, Alberta. 2013.

Artists of all levels of experience will want to take part in this workshop designed to give you a taste of the most fundamental yet creative aspect of ceramics: surface embellishment. Learn to use printmaking lino cuts and slip transfer techniques on wheel-thrown, altered ceramic forms.
This five day, hands on exploration of new processes in decoration for integrating wheel-thrown and image transfer techniques to create4 unique decorative functional wares. Participants will experience anew way of combining surface and form while exploring design elements such as texture, colour and pattern.
